PASTOR AND FAMILY DIRECTOR
Pastor Ki and Karen Kim
Pastor Ki and his wife, Karen, recently returned to Southern California after four transformative years serving as missionaries. They served at our mission churches in Yerevan and Tbilisi, sharing the hope of Jesus and building deep relationships with other missionaries and the local young people. Now back in their home region, they’ve joined the KCBC family with renewed passion to share God’s love.
Pastor Ki graduated from UC Berkeley, where he encountered the love of Jesus Christ and found his spiritual home at KCBC. He later earned his Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Gateway Seminary. Karen, a Caltech graduate, began her faith journey with KCBC and currently works as an engineer in the medical device industry.
Pastor Ki is actively preparing for a calling in hospital chaplaincy, while Karen continues to serve faithfully in both her professional and spiritual life. Their nearby extended family—including parents, married children, and grandchildren—keeps them joyfully engaged and on their toes. Pastor Ki enjoys sports and is exploring new ways to stay active, while Karen enjoys hiking and has a special appreciation for languages. Together, their greatest joy is witnessing families grow in the fullness of Christ and nurturing a spiritual legacy that will last.
