With the word of God, Joshua and Betsy love to help our youth navigate through these formative and often difficult time of their lives. Their constant prayer is for the salvation of each of our youth and for them to live out their faith and stand firm.

As Joshua immigrated from Sao Paulo, Brazil to California when he was fourteen, he knows what it's like to struggle as a junior high and high school student. That much more, he always has a listening ear and huge heart for our youth. Joshua accepted Jesus Christ as a youth in Brazil and found his spiritual home at KCBC (formerly Berkland Baptist Church) when he was a college student at UC Irvine. He graduated in 1997 with a degree in Biological Sciences and recently started a masters program at Gateway Seminary. Betsy was a founding member of our sister church in Washington, DC. and currently works as a financial controller.

Joshua and Betsy were married in 2009 and have been serving in youth ministry for over six years. They love playing board games, taking trips and enjoying fun activities with our youth (some say even more than the kids!). They have two young children, Jonathan and Lydia and live in Cypress.
